Legacy of Dead Casino Checklist Before Real Money (8 Items)
In short: Before playing Legacy of Dead for money on any casino site, find the operator in its regulator's own register, open the game's rules for the line "The average RTP is 96.58%", and set deposit and time limits first.
Every check below runs on public pages in minutes, and none of them needs an account. The list rests on what Play'n GO's own files show about this game: which rule versions print 96.58%, what the free demo loads, and where the studio itself is registered.

Reading a Casino Licence Register
A licence counts when the regulator's own register shows it, not when a badge in a site's footer says so. Badges are images. Anyone can paste one.
The check itself is short. Open the regulator's official website and find its public register. Then search for the company named in the site's terms and conditions, not the brand on the homepage. A real entry gives a company name, a number you can search again, a status and the activities the licence covers.
What a Register Entry Should Show
| Field | What to look for | Play'n GO's British entry, 2 November 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Company name | The same legal name as the site's terms | Play'n GO Malta Limited |
| Number | One you can search a second time | Account 55949 |
| Status | Active, not lapsed or suspended | Active |
| Activities | Cover what is on offer | Gambling Software, Game Host (Casino), Gaming Machine Technical Software |
| Regulatory actions | Any recorded sanction | 0 recorded |
Read on ; a source can change after that date without notice.
Test the search before you trust an empty result. We did that with the British files: they return Evolution Malta Holding Limited under account 41655 and two Pragmatic Play companies under 56015 and 57239. So when a name is missing there, it really is missing.
Where the Studio Itself Is Registered
Play'n GO, the studio behind Legacy of Dead, appears in three national registers we read on . A Gibraltar document adds a fourth licence, and the Maltese one rests on the studio's word.
Where Legacy of Dead's Maker Is Listed
| Register | Company | What it shows | Status we read |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gambling Commission, Great Britain | Play'n GO Malta Limited | Account 55949, remote licence 055949-R-332212-005 | Active, no regulatory actions |
| Spelinspektionen, Sweden | Play´n GO Malta | Game-software permit to | Active since |
| Spillemyndigheden, Denmark | Play´n GO Malta Limited | One of 65 licensed suppliers | No number or end date printed |
| Gibraltar approved brands | Play'n GO (Gibraltar) Limited | Casino (B2B) RGL No. 131 | No status in the document |
| Malta Gaming Authority | Play'n GO Malta Limited | MGA/B2B/225/2012, per the studio's footer | Register unreadable to us |
Keep the two licences apart in your head. A supplier licence vouches for the software. It says nothing about the website serving it, and that website needs a licence of its own, in a register of its own.
The RTP Line on the Rules Screen
We downloaded the Legacy of Dead rules from Play'n GO's server on and searched each version. The ones for Great Britain, Sweden, Denmark and Germany print the return in the words "The average RTP is 96.58%". The version with no market set, which the free demo loads, prints no figure.

Legacy of Dead Rule Versions We Compared
| Rules served for | RTP line | Hyper Spin and Fast Play |
|---|---|---|
| Great Britain | 96.58% | Removed |
| Sweden | 96.58% | Removed |
| Denmark | 96.58% | Removed |
| Germany | 96.58%, also above the reels | Removed |
| No market set | None | Present |
Checking it on a real-money site takes one minute. Open the game's menu, go to the rules or help page, and look for "RTP". If the text carries no percentage at all, the screen matches the version with no market set, which is the one the free demo loads.
A lower figure is a different matter. Catalogues list four lower settings, 94.51%, 91.51%, 87.56% and 84.55%, which no studio surface we read confirms or denies. If a rules screen prints one of them, believe the screen over any review, this one included. At 84.55% the house would keep 15.45% of every stake, against 3.42% at 96.58%.
Speed Controls Tell You the Build
The speed controls on screen are a second clue to which build is running. The free demo keeps them all: Hyper Spin when the space bar is held for 1.5 seconds, a Fast Play toggle, a Stop button and Auto Play up to 100 spins.

The rules for Great Britain, Sweden, Denmark and Germany drop Hyper Spin and Fast Play. The British and German configurations switch Auto Play off as well. The German build goes furthest, with a maximum bet of 5.00, a minimum round time of 5 seconds and "RTP 96.58%" on a strip above the reels. We describe those builds as the server sent them; why each one differs is not something we claim to know.
The Free Legacy of Dead Demo
The free demo is the place to learn this game, because nothing is staked and nothing can be lost. Play'n GO runs it on its own game page. The studio shows an 18+ prompt first, and the launcher then opens on 25,000.00 in play money at a 1.00 bet.

We took that route on and played 205 paid spins at 1.00 across five launches.
Our 205 Demo Spins
| Measure | Result |
|---|---|
| Staked | 205.00 |
| Returned | 153.00 |
| Return over the run | 74.6% |
| Free-spins rounds | 53.00 and 20.50 |
| Best base-game round | 12.00 |
That is a picture of the game in motion, not a measured return; 205 spins are far too few for that. One snag: the demo ended its own session once, after several minutes, with "Your session has timed out". That launch sits outside the five counted above.
Limits Before the First Deposit
Set a deposit limit, a time limit and a loss stop before any money moves, not after a bad session. Write the numbers down first. Then enter them in the account settings of the site you chose, and if you cannot find those settings, don't deposit there.

Our own run shows why the limit matters more than the percentage. At the printed 96.58%, 205.00 of stakes would lose about 7.00 over a long run. We lost 52.00 across our 205 demo spins. Short sessions swing that hard, in both directions.
Auto Play needs its own attention. When we opened it, the stops for a single win, a balance rise and a balance fall all sat at 0.00, which means off. We do not recommend running Auto Play for money with those three limits left at 0.00.
Self-Exclusion and Where to Get Help
Find a site's self-exclusion page before you play, while the decision is still easy. Keep one source of outside help bookmarked as well.

What This Casino Checklist Can't Do
This list checks paperwork and screens, and it cannot tell you how any website treats its players; we make no claim about that. A few of our own checks also stop short of certainty.
The Malta number comes from the studio's footer, because the regulator's register would not load as a readable list for us. Denmark's list names the company but prints no licence number or end date. Gibraltar's document carries no status. And we compared a handful of rule versions, not every market Play'n GO serves.
Gambling of any kind is for adults only, 18+. If a check above fails, the free demo is still there.
